Early Victorian Hair

Model; Kate Head Doll

Hairstyle with curls;

Things you might need;
- Pin tail comb
- Brush
- Hair band
- Hair grips
- Curling tongs

1. Brush through the hair to get rid of any knots
2. Section the hair into a centre parting with the pin tail comb
3. Section the front off from the back in a straight line from ear to ear going over the top of the head
4. Place the back of the hair into a pony tail, plait then place into a bun. You can chose to do some other sort of bun or plait if you wish
5. Curl to front sections of the hair with the curling tongs to make ringlet curls

With this hairstyle, I found it hard to get the hair for the curls to gather all the way down the curling tong. This was due to the Kate doll hair, to get around this problem, I sectioned the hair into three different parts then for each third, I split it in half and curled each section in a ringlet fashion. I then had to group the hair together at the bottom so it didn't look like two different sections.
